Frequently Asked Questions
When should I bring in an electrician for new construction?
As early as possible. Getting an electrician involved before framing is complete allows you to plan outlet placement, lighting, and dedicated circuits around your actual needs rather than retrofitting after the fact.
Do you work with builders and general contractors?
Yes. Joel Watsky Electric works directly with builders and general contractors throughout the construction process, including rough-in, inspections, and final trim-out.
Can you rough in for an EV charger or future generator?
Yes. It's much more cost-effective to rough in for future needs during construction than to add them later. We can plan for EV chargers, standby generators, and other additions as part of the original install.
Do you pull permits for new construction electrical work?
Yes. All new construction electrical work requires permits in Maryland, and Joel Watsky Electric handles the permitting process as part of every project.
